During the recent SportAccord Convention that was held in Sochi last month of April, a Sports Demo Zone was organised as a showcase for some International Federations. The World Karate Federation took the opportunity to make a Karate demo through the cooperation with the Regional Karate Federation of Krasnodarskiy Krai, a member of the Russian National Karate Federation, as well as the local Karate Federation of Sochi, which are both led by Alexander Davydov, National Team Coach.

Mr Toshihisa Nagura, WKF General Secretary, and Mr Sergey Sokolovski, President of the Russian Karate Federation, were present at the event.

A total of 4 demo fights were hold (2 male and 2 female), with main athletes of the Russian Karate Federation:

– Denis Denisenko: Russian champion Kumite -84kg category and World Junior & Cadet and U21 bronze medallist

– Michail Davydov: Russian champion and World Junior & Cadet and U21 silver medallist

– Anna Boiko: National Team Member, Russian Champion

– Ekaterina Kaneva: silver medallist of the Russian National Championships.
