The 2014 World Karate Championships just started this morning at ÖVB-Arena in Bremen (Germany) with the first individual kata and kumite categories.
In total, 976 athletes from 116 countries registered for this 22nd Edition of the most important karate competition in the World. The World Senior Championships are organized every two years since their creation in 1970, and the previous edition was held in Paris. The World Karate Championships takes place in Bremen for the first time and in Germany (after Munich 2000) for the second time.
