Karate competition during the XVII Pan American Games was held in Mississauga Sports Centre – Toronto (Canada) during three days (23-25 July 2015).
The karate competition consisted of 10 individual kumite events (fighting). Pan Am best athletes (40 men and 40 women) was showcase their talents on the strikingly beautiful tatami of Mississauga Sports Centre. There was a total of 38 participating countries (out of a total of 13 Pan Am Karate Federation member countries), which is a very high representation of the continent.
Concerning the classification of nations, Brazil is the first nation to counter with 3 gold medals, 0 silver medals and 2 bronze medals for a total of 5 medals. Ecuador ranks second (2/0/2), followed by Argentina (2/0/1).
